Frankie Jean Ritter's Obituary
Frankie Jean Ritter, longtime Okmulgee resident, passed away Monday morning, July 31, 2017 in Bristow at 94 years of age. She was born the eighth of nine children to the late Joseph and Liza (Sanders) Parker on August 23, 1922 in Wetumka. She graduated from Fairview High School. Frankie married C.L. Ritter on May 31, 1947. She retired two times from Sears where worked in the linen department well into her 80’s. She enjoyed sewing and collecting jewelry but her greatest love was being with her grandbabies. Frankie was a member of the Church of Christ, formerly in Okmulgee and then in Bixby. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a baby daughter, Ella Jane and eight siblings, Clyde Parker, Eula Glenn, Rude Parker, Bret Parker, Georgia Hand, Augusta Young, Pauline Cunningham and Jim Parker. Survivors include her children, Carol Ritter Barnett and husband Ret. CSgt Al Barnett and Losson Ritter and wife Glenna, grandchildren, Bret Ritter and wife Ashlee, Amanda Spicer and husband Kevin and Floyd Ritter and wife Elizabeth, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mrs. Ritter will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Losson Ritter, Bret Ritter, Floyd Ritter, William Young, Brian Cunningham and Kevin Spicer.
Friends may visit the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M.
