Eva Louise Johnson's Obituary
Eva Louise Johnson, long time resident of Woodward, Oklahoma died in Tulsa on September 13, 2014. Louise was born in Woodward July 17, 1932 to Thomas Bryan and Thelma Ruth Elizabeth McLain Damron. On February 21, 1953 she married Eldon Gene Johnson of Laverne, Oklahoma. While a resident of Woodward, she worked for Dr. Obermiller and was later a bookkeeper for J.C. Penny and Whitcomb Lumber. After retiring they managed campgrounds in the U.S. National Forest in Colorado. Louise was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Woodward for most of her life where she taught children’s church for over 40 years. Louise and her husband Eldon moved to Beggs in 2008 where she was active in the First Assembly of God Church there. She continued her ministry in the Beggs church by volunteering as a teacher and helping with the ladies ministry.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband Eldon of the home, three children: two daughters, Rita Jackson and husband Neal of Tulsa and Ronda Abbott and husband Blaine of Beggs and one son Chris Johnson and wife Lisa of Oklahoma City, seven grandchildren: Sarah Willis and husband Casey, Amanda Eitel and husband Ethan, Jonathan Jackson, Cody Abbott, Kaia Abbott, Kaylen Johnson and Haley Johnson and three great grandchildren: Tristan, Kinlei and Addison.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Assembly of God Church in Beggs with Reverend Robert Yandell officiating. Interment will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Viewing will be at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs on Monday from 12-8 P.M. with the family present to greet guests from 6-8 P.M.
