Esther Rowena Mills' Obituary
Esther Rowena Mills, longtime Okmulgee county resident, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Rebold Manor in Okmulgee. She was 87 years of age. Esther was born July 3, 1929 in Earlsboro, Oklahoma to the late Kenneth R. and Pearl L. (Archer) Hill. She graduated from Beggs High School and attended Southeastern State College in Durant. Esther married Ralph Mills on May 23, 1948 in Beggs.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Ralph Mills, of the home, two daughters, Rebekah Buck of Carthage, Missouri and Margaret Wilson of Lawton, a son, Michael Mills of Orlando, Florida, a sister, Evelyn Myers of Sulphur, a brother, Glenn Hill of Purcell and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 24, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Beggs with Reverend Chris Gore officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 A.M.-8:00 P.M.
Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
