Edward "Ed" Lee Sullins' Obituary
Edward "Ed" Lee Sullins was born to the late Jesse Edward and Norma Lee (Powers) Sullins in Foss, Oklahoma on Saturday, January 9, 1932. Ed passed away on Saturday morning, February 9, 2019 in Okmulgee. He was 87 years old. Ed loved his grandchildren and loved spending time with them fishing, camping, singing, and trying to play his guitar. He also did woodwork and enjoyed playing cards. Ed was a member of the Church of Christ in Okmulgee. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Tina Arnett, and nine brothers and sisters.
Ed is leaving behind his wife of 62 years Dovie Sullins, children Glenda McAlister and husband Dennis, Eddie Sullins and wife Ellen, Randy Sullins and wife Emma, Roger Sullins and wife Tracy, Lisa Smith and husband Joey, Larry Sullins, Jennifer Bean, twenty-eight grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, siblings Hazel, Lester, Ray, and Rowana and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services for Ed will be held 2:00 P.M Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Davie Carter to officiate. Interment will follow at the Sonora Cemetery in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Casketbearers will be Lucus Riddle, Eric Riddle, Jesse Riddle, Dusty Sullins, Levi Sullins, Walker Lawley, Bradley Sullins, Eli Lawley, Joshua Kramer, and Alex Workman. Friends may visit the funeral home on Tuesday, February 12 from 1:00 p.m. -8:00 pm. The family will be present for visitation from 5:00 p.m-8:00p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
