Donna Jean Barrett's Obituary
Donna Jean Barrett, age 84, Morris, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, with her family by her side.
Donna was born in Okmulgee to Earl Howard and Opal (McCollom) Howard on July 2, 1941. She graduated from Morris High School in May 1959. She married Curtis Barrett on July 14, 1962. They had two sons, Randy and Rick. Donna and Curtis lived in Owasso most of their married life and in October 2001 they moved to Morris and lived in the farmhouse she grew up in.
Donna worked in Tulsa for Sunray DX Oil Company and Gulf Oil Corporation and later was co-owner of Barrett Electric, Inc. and Tulsa Midwest Construction Company.
Donna lived an active, full life and enjoyed traveling with Curtis to runs both near and far. She was a member of the Tulsa Running Club and The OWLS at church where she enjoyed wonderful times with her many friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sisters, Norma Jane Whitehead and Helen Knott.
She is survived by son, Randy Barrett and his wife Deborah of Inola; son, Rick Barrett and his wife Tessa of Owasso; eight grandchildren: Jake, Josh, Jackie, Jedd, Grace, Claire, James, and Grant Barrett; seven great grandchildren; sister, Martha Jo Anderson of Purcell; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Donna was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Morris. Family will have a private service, and interment will be at the Morris Cemetery.
