I don't even hesitate for a moment when I say that Joe Lesley was without a doubt the greatest man I've ever known. In 13 years I never heard him speak an unkind word about a single person. He never knew a stranger. And I watched him build up countless people in need. If it weren't for Joe, I wouldn't be where I am today. He was my "Dad" in every way that mattered. And I'm so grateful for the 13 years I got with him, and that my son has such an amazing Papa. Joe's loss will be felt for the rest of my time on earth. But I don't know anyone who deserved to go be with Jesus more than him. Dad, just like I always tell Ashton, you are always with me because I keep you in my heart!!!
"Mr. Lesley" was a good teacher and wish I had paid more attention to him in chemistry class. It was one of the most fun and memorable classes in high school. I still have his famous paddle with all of the signatures and everytime I see it I laugh and hear that voice. Great memories from a dedicated teacher!
