Dolores J. Anderson's Obituary
Dolores June Anderson, walked into eternity surrounded by a lifetime of love Thursday August 29, 2013 at 84 years beautiful in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born June 16, 1929 in ElReno, Oklahoma to W.S. and Leona (Cahill) Brown. Dolores married William Roy Anderson July 19, 1952 in ElReno, Oklahoma. She served her First Baptist Church family as secretary for many years. She shared her love of Christ and life long adventures as a Christian with many people throughout her lifetime. Dolores loved spending time with “her girls” in the Joy Seekers class. She has served time as president of the Women’s Missionary Union, and was active in the BALL group and Monday morning Ladies Bible Study group. Dolores enjoyed time in her garden, traveling the US with her late husband and loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her husband and parents precede Dolores in death. Two siblings survive her. A brother Jim Brown and wife Patricia of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Nancy Davison of ElReno, Oklahoma. Two Daughters; Lisa K. Holton and husband Mark of Palmdale, California and Jayme D. Hankins of Okmulgee. 5 grandchildren; Brooke Provence and husband Mickey of Okmulgee, Peter Hankins of Okmulgee, Garrett Hankins and wife Michelle of Nevada, Missouri, John Douglas Holton of Malibu, California and Alexender Michael Holton of Palmdale, California, four great grandchildren; Noah, Isabella, Evan and Sawyer Grey and very dear friend, Betty
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church with Rev Dennis Taylor and Rev. Jerry Fielder officiating. Burial will at 3:00 pm in the Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Viewing will be on Monday 1 until 8 pm and visitation with her family will be 5 until 7 pm at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Garrett Hawkins, Peter Hankins, John Douglas Holton, Alex Holton, Mickey Provence and Jeremy Streight.
