Deborah K. Dawson's Obituary
Deborah K. Dawson passed away at the age of 57 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on October 14, 2022. She was born to Donald Jones and Sandra (Sanders) Jobe on September 6, 1965, in Henryetta, Oklahoma. She has been a lifelong resident of Okmulgee after moving here with her family at a very young age. She attended school in Okmulgee where she graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1983. She was a candy striper at Okmulgee Hospital before becoming an LPN at the Okmulgee Emergency Room for several years. Narcotics Anonymous was an organization that was near and dear to her heart she served as treasurer for NA and sponsored a number of women during her year as volunteer.
Deborah never missed an episode of General Hospital and would gladly give you a recap of what was going on. She also enjoyed BINGO at the Elks Lodge and crocheting blankets for new babies in her family. She loved being a nana more than anything in the world.
Deborah is preceded in death by her father Donald Jones, the man she called Dad, Wesley Howard aka “Honey”.
She is survived by her mom Sandra and husband Larry Jobe of Morris, children Todd Lewison of Tulsa, Tabetha Boss and husband Sid of Okmulgee, grandchildren Alizay Boss, Henacie Boss, Lyricka Boss all of Okmulgee, Carter Anderson of Tulsa, brothers Mark Howard and wife Jennifer of Beggs, Donnie Jones and wife Sherie of Okmulgee, Brian Howard and wife Lisa of Hermitage, PA and Scott Jones and wife Toni of Tulsa, numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM the family will receive friends and family from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ben Langley officiating. Casketbearers will be Mark Howard, Donnie Jones, Todd Lewison, Kyle Flora, Josh Byassee, Sean Clark, John Jones, Robert Jones. Honorary Casketbearers are Steve Flora, Brian Howard, Doug Bush and Chris Lewison.
Interment will immediately follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, OK.
