David Lee Woods, Jr.'s Obituary
David Lee Woods Jr. departed this world to be with God on September 17th, 2009. David was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 21st, 1978. He grew up in Bixby, Oklahoma. He was an amazing man who loved the outdoors, hunting, wildlife, and history. He was an avid sportsman, arrowhead collector, computer genius, skilled craftsman, awesome fisherman. He loved nature, gardening, camping, horseback riding, flint knapping and hiking. David was incredibly talented and intelligent. He worked as the Network Administrator for Mounds Public Schools. He had a compassionate heart and enjoyed the opportunity to help someone in need. He was always kind and had a radiant smile and beautiful eyes that put people at ease immediately. David was married to Christy on July 8th, 2000. For over 13 year’s total, David and Christy were nearly inseparable. David was also blessed with two children that he adored and who adored him; Wyatt Justin Woods, 6, and Gracelyn Marie Woods, 4. He loved teaching them skills that few hold today regarding naturalist and survival skills. He will be loved and missed forever. David is survived by his wife, Christy; children Wyatt and Gracelyn. He is also survived by his sister, Amber Mehagan, and his niece, Lena; his father David Lee Woods Sr.; his Mother, Vickie; and his father and mother in law Michael and Connie Hoover. Rest in peace precious David in God’s love and our hearts.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 30, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Beggs with Reverend Thom Chappelle officiating. Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery.
