Dale Lester Edmonds' Obituary
Dale Lester Edmonds, lifelong Morris resident, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022, in Okmulgee at eighty-seven years of age. He was born November 7, 1935, to the late John Warren and Effie (Basden) Edmonds. Dale graduated from Morris High School in 1954. He married Anna Lucille Treat on November 26, 1954, in Okmulgee. He worked at Ball Brothers for thirty-six years, retiring when he was fifty-eight. Dale enjoyed hunting and fishing. He could fix and build anything. He was a member of the Dewar Baptist Church.
Survivors include his 3 children; Marvin Edmonds and wife Connie, Terri Clark and husband Phil, and Randy Edmonds and wife Paula. His grandchildren; Anna Edmonds and Pink Suiter, Cullen Clark and wife Jennifer, Matt Edmonds, Derek Edmonds and wife Trisha, Lynsie Clark, Megan Malone and Dusty Foreman, and Kaylee Edmonds and David Reagor. His great grandchildren; Bryson Palmer, Niki Palmer, Jackson Clark, Alexa Clark, Jacob Clark, Colton Edmonds, Rylie Edmonds, Chloe Edmonds, Weston Edmonds, Tuff Malone and Ella Malone. His, great-great grandchildren, Kaysen Reagor and Oaklen Burgess. His sister Linda Donnell, brother-in-law Jim Treat, sister-in-law Linda Holden, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a brother, A.J. Edmonds.
Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M Thursday evening.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 6, 2023, at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Diane Twist officiating. Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Derek Edmonds, Cullen Clark, Matt Edmonds, Bryson Palmer, Gary Witt and Pink Suiter.
