Cora Mae Thompson's Obituary
Cora Mae Thompson, 83, formerly of Okmulgee and a resident of Henryetta, died Thursday afternoon, March 18, 2010 at the Henryetta Medical Center. She was born November 24, 1926 in Hitchita, Oklahoma to Frank and Roxie (McKay) Roberts. She loved to crochet do crossword puzzles and cook for her family. Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Linda Grogan, a son, Bill Thompson, her husbands, Clinton Thompson and Ernie Long, sisters, Ovie Roberts, Eva Phillips, Ava Cook, Iva Williams and Edith Rainey and brothers, Alvin, Calvin and Orville Roberts. Survivors include her children, Frank Thompson of Eufaula, Emma Hall of Dewar, Joyce McLoud, Jilena Thrailkill, Rita Blake and Tommy Thompson, all of Okmulgee, eighteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robert Lay officiating. Interment will follow in the Westlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home on Monday from 12-6 P.M. and Tuesday until the funeral hour.
