Clayton Lee Smith's Obituary
Clayton Lee “Boo” Smith died January 8, 2014 in an automobile accident. He was 18 years of age. Clayton was born July 13, 1995 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Wayne Mark Smith and Ronda Fay (Sunderman) Epperson. He helped his mom at the Coalton Feed store. He enjoyed fishing, duck hunting and especially baseball. Clayton was a graduate of Morris High School and had just received a scholarship to play baseball for Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas. He never met a stranger and was always making new friends even if they were with the opposing team, their coach or the umpire. He attended Crosstown Pentecostal Holiness Church in Okmulgee.
Clayton was preceded in death by both grandfathers: Ronald Sunderman and Vernell Lee Botkins. He is survived by his mother Ronda Epperson and husband Ray, his father Wayne Smith, seven siblings: sister Misty Coats, brother Dusty Foreman, sister Shonda Foreman, brother Trey Foreman, sister Rebecca Washington, Brother Matthew Epperson and wife Toni, sister Ashley Williams and husband Roy, maternal grandmother Bletta Sunderman and grandfather C.O. Layman, Uncle Derek Sunderman and wife Marcy, paternal grandmother Elizabeth Botkins, Uncle Mark Smith, Uncle Mario Sotkins, aunt Helen Baker and husband bill, Uncle Stormy Botkins and wife JoAnn, a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and his many many friends.
A funeral service celebrating Clayton’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Crosstown Pentecostal Holiness Church in Okmulgee with Reverend John Wesley Berry officiating. Interment will follow at the Morris Cemetery. Viewing will be at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee on Monday from 3-8 P.M.
