Clarence E. Hamm's Obituary
Clarence Hamm, 74, of Beggs, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014. Clarence was born in Snowball, Arkansas on October 31, 1939. He graduated from Poteau, Oklahoma and from there served four years in the Navy.
Clarence married Jerri Reed in September of 1962. He began his career in the Jewelry business, in which he was very successful. He was one of the very few who could do both, watch and jewelry repair, along with making jewelry. His other passion was raising horses and then Black Angus Cattle on his ranch at Hidden Valley Farm. He loved his home more than any other place and seldom left it.
Clarence was devoted to his wife, Jerri, for 51 plus years. They are members at First Baptist Church in Beggs.
Clarence was also a loving father to his daughter Anita. He cherished his daughter and their time together. This blessed father and daughter relationship continued strong through the years and he has left a wonderful and beautiful legacy. Clarence, Jerri and Anita were a very tight knit family and his loss will be immense.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Linda Sherwood. He is survived by his wife Jerri of the home, daughter Anita Hamm of Sapulpa, two step-sons: Wes Jarvis of Tulsa and Ron Jarvis and wife Geanine of Rogers, Arkansas, four grandchildren: Megan Kuban, John Wesley Jarvis, Kyle Jarvis and Katie Holmes, seven great grandchildren: Jace, Emily, Madori, Laylah, Max, Natalie and Kollyns, two sisters: Betty Stinson of Springfield, Missouri and Anna Pylind and husband Braley of Searcy, Arkansas, granddog Madison and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Beggs on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 11:30 A.M. with Reverend Chris Gore officiating. Interment will follow at the Beggs Cemetery.
