Charles Leon Crain's Obituary
Charles “Leon” Crain, 79 year old Prague resident, died Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa. He was born September 7, 1938 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Eugene Ralph and Flossie Norine (Pennington) Crain. When Leon was younger he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going camping. He liked going dancing. Leon and his sister Carolyn would play cards together. He also played dominos. Leon served his country in the U.S. Army and was retired from the Oklahoma Department of transportation. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bob Crain and a sister, Mary Ellen Hanson. Survivors include his daughters, Darla Matlock and husband Mike of Prague, Janice Daniels of Pawhuska and Vickie Radford of Morris, grandchildren, Corie and Chance Silas of Elk City, Whitney and Paul Smith of Lyons, Kansas, Jenna Reese of Pawhuska, Jake Daniels and Holly of Marland, Joshua Radford of Sand Springs and Chantel Radford of Morris, great grandchildren, Kenna, Peyton and Harper Silas, Ryker and Tymber Smith, Trenton, Brylee and Kinsley Reese, Teely and Ellison Daniels, and Lucas, Jason, and Maria Radford, brother, Ralph Crain and wife Pat of Joplin, Missouri, sisters, Carolyn Fisher and husband Ted of Morris and Marie Howell and husband Jim of Okmulgee and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Matlock officiating. Casketbearers will be Chance Silas, Paul Smith, Jake Daniels, Josh Radford, Dickie Melton, and Randy Howell. Honorary casketbearers will be Dennis Melton, Danny Melton, Roland "Butch" Hanson, Dean Crain, and Ralph Fisher. Interment will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Sperry, Oklahoma.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
