Charles Michael Johnson's Obituary
Charles Michael "Cadillac Mike" Johnson, a resident of Tulsa, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Osu Medical Center in Tulsa at 65 years of age. He was born September 7, 1948 in Tulsa to the late Luther P Wilson and Earcha Mae Johnson. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and spent several years in California before returning to Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and step-father, Kenneth Turrentine. Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Fisher) Johnson, of the home, three sons, Michael Dwayne Johnson and wife Amelia of Las Vegas, Nevada, Charles Johnson of Los Angeles, California and Baby Michael Johnson of Los Angeles, California, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a sister, Virteen Renee Lamb of Indo, California, three brothers, Alphonzo Wilson of Tulsa, Julius Turrentine of St. Louis, Missouri and Mark Turrentine of Tulsa and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 19, 2014 at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with Reverend Paul Tecumseh, Sr. officiating, assisted by Senator Connie Johnson, Eulogist. Interment will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. The United States Marine Corps will provide military honors. Casketbearers will be Michael Dwayne Johnson, Mark Turrentine, Alphonzo Wilson, Joe Martel III, Steven Reagan and Elis Stevenson. Friends may visit the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
