Charles "Buddy" Leroy Burklin's Obituary
Charles Leroy "Buddy" Burklin passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the age of 78. He was born March 15, 1938 to the late Pleasant and Mamie (Boitel) Burklin in Okfuskee, Oklahoma. Charles enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed reading but most of all he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Charles married Joyce (Hemmingsen) Bush Burklin on April 4, 1989 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Charles was a member of the Compass Assembly of God Church.
Preceding Charles in death are his parents and a sister Pauline Wollard. Left to cherish his memory his wife Joyce of Okmulgee, son Jimmy Burklin of Okmulgee, daughter Regina LaFontaine of California, step-daughter Debbie Hall of Morris, step-son Darel Bush of Okmulgee, step-son David Bush, Sr. of Okmulgee, grandkids Lynn Baldwin, Danielle Brazzi, Brittny Bush, David Bush, Jr., Kyle Bush, Robert Salyer, Rebecca Corn, Taylor Chandler, and Kylie Berryhill, nephew Richard Wollard of Tennessee and multitude of great grandchildren.
A funeral service for Charles will be held at 2:00 on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the Compass Assembly of God Church of Okmulgee with Pastor Rex McDowell officiating. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
