Carolyn Sue Casey's Obituary
Carolyn Sue Casey, 79, longtime resident of Okmulgee County, died on Monday, November 21, 2011 in Tulsa. She was born in Boynton, Oklahoma on August 23, 1932 to John and Laura (Humphrey) Lowrance. She was married to Robert Dean “Bob” Casey. Sue obtained her bachelors degree and masters in education from Northeastern University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She taught at Liberty School and then Morris Schools for a total of 33 years. Sue was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and taught the Reapers Sunday School Class and a member of the Red Hatters. Her parents and a brother John Lowrance preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband Bob Casey of the home, two sons David and his wife Margaret of Sperry, Oklahoma, Russell and wife Carolyn of Morris, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and a host of friends and students that loved her.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 10 am at the Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Kerr officiating. Burial will be in the Morris Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, 1 pm until 7 pm. The Casey family will be at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Morris to meet with friends at 4pm until 7 pm.
