Burin "Bobby" Robert McDaniel's Obituary
Burin “Bobby” Robert McDaniel passed away at the age of 46 years on April 17, 2023, at St. John’s Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on May 28, 1976, in Moore, Oklahoma to Carl Edward and Marsha Fay (French) McDaniel.
Bobby attended Mid-Del Christian School until 8th grade when he and his family moved to Okmulgee. He then attended and graduated from Morris High School. After graduation, Bobby moved back to Oklahoma City where he went to Mid-Del Master’s Commission Bible School and found his passion for ministry. He then returned to Okmulgee where he worked for Michael French Ministries for many years. Soon after, Bobby became the volunteer music director at Morris Assembly of God and eventually made his was to become the “utility” musician player at The Refuge Church. Bobby had a love for serving, not only the Lord, but others. He had a heart of gold that cared deeply for the people he loved. Bobby was the kind of person who left an imprint on someone no matter where he went or who he met. He also enjoyed other things like fishing and football. Especially the Oklahoma Sooners. Even though Kim was an OSU fan, OU would always be his team.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Kim McDaniel, his stepdaughter Krystle O’Dowd and husband Brad, his mother, Marsha McDaniel, his sisters, Makesha Steele and husband Arron and Christine Holland, nephews, Artyst Steele, Josh Holland and Anthony Holland, nieces, Jazmyne McDaniel, Lyric McDaniel, Tya Knight, Jammie Lane, and Shagala Sadler, along with a host of many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Carl Edwards McDaniel, maternal grandparents, Reverend and Mrs. F.R. French, paternal grandparents, Burin and Carmelita McDaniel, and Uncle Jimmy McDaniel.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 2 P.M. at The Refuge Church at 1206 W. 5th St. Okmulgee, OK with Reverend Preston Rider officiating.
