Bernard "Benny" Wayne Willmann's Obituary
Bernard Wayne “Benny” Willmann died at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas on June 11, 2014 at 63 years of age. Benny was born in Tulsa on July 16, 1950 to the late Bernard William and Marie Gertrude (Otten) Willmann. As a young boy, Benny was an altar boy at St. Jude’s Catholic Church and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tulsa, where he attended grade school. Benny graduated from McClain High School and attended college at Northeastern State University. He married Nancy K. Thompson on May 12, 1972 in Claremore. He worked for the Ford Motor Company for 30 years, retiring in 2011. He was an avid sports fan and player. Benny was a dedicated and loyal OU Football season ticket holder for 39 years. Benny was a member of the Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church in Okmulgee, the Knights of Peter Claver and the UAW 1895. Benny was a friend to many and will be missed by the people he touched throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife Nancy of the home, son Brent Willmann and wife Nancy of Owasso, daughter Heather Hutton and husband Darren of Beggs, sister Janet Willmann Gimenez of Sapulpa, brother Kevin Willmann and wife Donna of Piscataway, New Jersey, sister Mary Beth Kerker and husband Gene of Skiatook, grandchildren: Billy Willmann, Erica Dubuc, Emily Dubuc, Kaylee Hutton and Riley Hutton and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday June 16, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church with Celebrant Father Josh Litwack. A Committal Service will be held 2:00 P.M. at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa. A Rosary will be held on Sunday at 7:00 P.M. at the church. Viewing will be at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee on Sunday from 12:00 – 6:00 P.M.
