Barbara Ann Belden's Obituary
Barbara A. Belden , age 78, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2021, at her home in Okmulgee. She was born on May 14, 1943, to Bill and Evelyn (Riddle) Thompson in Okmulgee, OK. She was an only child who grew up near Okemah and graduated from Bearden High School.
Barbara married Norman L. Belden on December 14, 1963. Together they had two daughters. Barbara attended Okmulgee Tech and worked in the healthcare field for Supra Home Health as field nurse. She loved to work in the yard tending to her flowers. She also took pride in keeping her house clean and tidy. Barbara was skilled at doing needlepoint work and found much joy in creating each piece.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Norman, parents Bill and Evelyn Thompson, in-laws Irene and Alfred Belden. She is survived by her daughters, Tina Belden of Carson City, NV, Lori Salyer and husband Jr. of Okmulgee, grandchildren Britney Holland of Okmulgee, LeAnn Ray of Henryetta, Ashley Ann Belden of Okmulgee, Larry Bruce Smith, II and Cara of Okmulgee, Chase Brown of Okmulgee, and nine great-great children: Adam Leon Belden Standridge, Zoie Schrameck, Laynie Ray, Harley Ward, Lily Waddle, Kaylie Smith, Chasity Smith, Maggie Waddle, and Everleigh Smith.
A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
