Arbon Don Lampkin, Sr.'s Obituary
Arbon Don Lampkin, Sr. was born to Alvin Lampkin, Sr. and
Florine Lampkin on July 18, 1934 in Beggs, Oklahoma. He was
the second child of nine children. A.D. (as he was known by
family and friends) attended public school in Slick and Beggs,
Oklahoma there after he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1956 and
was honorably discharged. He later married the love of his life
Darlene Ross Lampkin who preceded him in death. To this
union three beautiful children were born: Carrell Jean, Arbon, Jr.,
and Cheryl Ann.
A.D. will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and
grandfather to his three grandchildren he loved so much. He
enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brothers and uncles. A.D.
worked for Boeing Air Craft and later Northup Grumman.
Sunday, April 24, 2016 A.D. made his transition, leaving to
cherish his memory three children Carrell Jean of Los Angeles,
CA, Arbon, jr (Corina) Merced, CA, Cheryl Ann (Larry) Hampton,
GA; three grandchildren, Derrick (Constance), Mikkia, Shalonda
(Brandon); Zackery, five great grandchildren , Zamere, Damere,
Amerea, AJ and Mandale, one brother Avan, Tulsa, Okla., two
sisters, Lois (Ray) Los Angeles, CA, Sue (Rusty) Wichita,
Kansas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He
was preceded in death by his mother, father, one sister and 4
brothers.
