Anna Horn's Obituary
Ann (Anna) Horn, longtime Okmulgee resident, went to be with The Lord on Christmas Day, 2011. She was born on March 2, 1928 in Mercer, Maine to Helen (Williams) and Harris Farrand. She attended public schools in Maine until the age of 17 when she moved to California in 1945. There, she met William (Bill) Horn of Okmulgee, to whom she wed on November 9, 1946 in Los Angeles. In 1948 Ann and Bill moved to Okmulgee to make their home. Ann was a homemaker and mother and enjoyed meeting with her many friends at PTA meetings and social gatherings. She loved her family and grandchildren, making many vacation trips to visit them in New York, Florida, and California. Ann loved her church and God, and in her last years attended the First Church of the Nazarene which she particularly loved, including those that attended with her. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Horn, her parents, one brother and one sister. She leaves behind three sons, Jerry, David and Randy Horn and wife Kyong Hui, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins in New England and California, and all her many friends in Okmulgee.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Okmulgee Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday from 10-8. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
