Theresa “Terrye” Louise McCord Adams passed away due to cardiac arrest on May 14, 2026, at Glenwood Nursing Home in Glenpool, OK. She was 72 years old and was born on February 3, 1954. Terrye was born on February 3, 1954, in Tulsa, OK. She attended Alcott Elementary, Gilcrease Junior High, McClain High, & graduated from Beggs High School. She then went on to get her associate’s degree from OSU Tech. She married in 1971 & had 2 children; divorced in 1991. She retired as a Legal Secretary at Gable Gotwals. She lived in Tulsa, OK, Columbus, OH, Beggs, OK, Glenpool, OK, Jefferson City, MO, Tulsa, OK then moved back to Beggs in 2006. She moved to Glenpool, OK into Glenwood Nursing Home in October of 2025. Terrye found joy in art, fishing, reading her Bible, helping others, music, and especially being a grandmother. She loved Ocean Isle Beach, collecting seashells, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was known as “Grankee” not only to her grandchildren, but to many others as well. Loved by many, she never met a stranger and could carry on a meaningful conversation with anyone, regardless of their circumstances. She will be remembered for her quick wit, infectious laugh, and generous spirit that touched countless lives. Terrye leaves behind her brother Tracy Eugene & wife Natalie McCord, brother Michael Thomas “Tommy” & wife Jennifer McCord, her son Jimmy Wayne “Bo” & wife Virginia Adams, & her daughter Jerrye Jocelyn Adams, grandchildren from her son Sterling Clay Temple, Jacob Miles “Jake”, & Ruby Juliette Adams, & grandchildren from daughter William Alec, Madison Paige “Maddie”, & Ella Payton Bryant. She’s proceeding in death her father Jerrye Euegen, mother Wanda Louise McCord, brothers Hershel Anthony “Tony” & Paul Timothy “Timmy” McCord. The family will host a Celebration of life to be held at First Assembly of God, 400 E Main Street, Beggs, OK on May 23, Saturday at 11am in the Lynn Dining Hall. Fellowship & food after. Cremation services have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
