Jerry Robison

Jerry David Robison, 65, of Morris, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 in Okmulgee. Jerry was born in Morris to Floyd Finnis and Walsie Emly Turney Robison February 23, 1950. He grew up and attended school in Liberty Morris where he was part of the last graduating Senior Class of 1968. After graduating, Jerry braved the Vietnam War. After serving, Jerry resided in Twin Hills. He then married Brenda Denise Sharp of Morris on December 23, 1983. Together, they have two children, Floyd and Michael Robison. Jerry retired from Foster Propeller Service in February 2012 after many years of service. Jerry is preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, and his five brothers and sisters, Wilma Joyce Rainwater of Twin Hills, Bobby Joe Robison of California, Lavada Ruth Crenshaw of Morris, Charles Floyd Robison of Haskell, and Sharron Gail Fleetwood of Morris, his father-in-law, Charles Floyd Sharp of Morris, brothers-in-law, Charles Thomas of Morris, Bob Lee of Bixby, and John Rainwater of Twin Hills, his nephew, David Lee of Bixby, niece, Dee Ann Morgan of Liberty Morris and numerous aunts and uncles. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Denise, of the home and sons, Floyd Robison and Amber and Michael Robison and Krista, all of Morris, sister, Jean Lee of Bixby, brother, Cecil Lloyd Robison and Betty of Durant, sister, Linda Sue Thomas and Kelly Sue of Morris, brothers-in-law, Jim Fleetwood of Morris and Jack Crenshaw and Sherry of Morris, mother-in-law Bonniegene Sharp of Morris, brothers-in-law Curtis Sharp and Tina of Morris, Dennis Sharp and Sheila of Haskell and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other friends and family. Jerry was a lover of everything outdoors. Aside from his family, his happiness was seen in his horses. Friends may visit the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and the family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Morris. Officiating will be Brother Jeff Ward and Brother Ray Moffeit. Interment will follow at the Morris Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mekko Donathan, Hayden Sharp, Noah Sharp, Matt Sharp, Felipe Alarez, Chris Malone and Joe May. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Howard, Brian Fleetwood, John Paul Porter, John Scott Sadler, Jason Sadler, Larry Crenshaw, Rick Crenshaw, Greg Duke, Keith Morgan, Klint Morgan and Curtis Boydston. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Morris, 421 S. Hughes, Morris.
