Cora Sue Berryhill

Cora Sue Berryhill, affectionately known as “Tuffy,” passed away on April 22, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 27, 1942, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to John and Della Mae (Fox) Beaver. Tuffy was a 1960 graduate of Morris High School. Following her graduation, she worked for many years as an administrative professional with Stifel Nicolaus and Wayne Von Felt & Associates, where she was known for her dedication, dependability, and strong work ethic, until her well-deserved retirement. Tuffy had a deep love for cooking and baking, especially her biscuits and cookies, which were enjoyed by all who knew her. She found great joy in crocheting, sewing, and quilting, creating many cherished pieces over the years. A true bargain shopper, she had a keen eye for a good deal and took pride in finding one. She loved watching television, particularly sports, and was a devoted fan of the OU Sooners and the OKC Thunder. She followed basketball, football, and softball with enthusiasm and never missed the excitement of March Madness. She also enjoyed traveling and often took road trips to attend sporting events. Once on a good backroad, she was content to stay there and enjoy the journey. Above all, Tuffy treasured time spent with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her, and she took great pride in each of them. She was a proud member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and the Big Cussetah United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Della Mae Beaver; her loving husband, Anderson (Andy) Berryhill, Jr.; her sons, Gino Robert Berryhill and Anderson Berryhill III; her great-granddaughters, Ava and Ariel Hubble; her sister, Letha Mae Rutherford; and her brothers, William Beaver, John Beaver Jr., and Robert Perry Beaver, former Principal Chief of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. Cora Sue is survived by her grandchildren, Andrea Adair and husband Ryan, Lauren Murphy, and Hunter Hill and husband Chance; her great-grandchildren, Christopher, Jax, Allie, Wyatt, and Zoey; her sisters, Miley Hargis, Martha Jean Froman, Hanna Beaver, and Sally Wittman and husband Royce; her brother, Mose A. “Pete” Beaver and wife Bridget; her daughter-in-law, Connie Berryhill; her step-grandson, Nick Evans; her step-granddaughter, Michelle Aldridge and husband Tommy; her step-great-grandchildren, Emily, Tenley, and Whitley; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Cora Sue will be deeply missed, and her infectious smile will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Big Cussetah United Methodist Church in Morris, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be her nephews, Brant Beaver, Brent Beaver, Del Beaver, John Beaver, Drew Wittman, and Kyle Wittman.
