Shirley Watts

February 12, 1946 - December 9, 2020

Shirley Ann Irene Watts lifelong Okmulgee resident, passed peacefully along with her children and grandchildren by her side on Wednesday December 9, 2020 at the age of 74. She was born in Okmulgee February 12, 1946 to Leta Elvira-Jackie (Warn) and Ernest Thelmer Bud Taylor. Shirley was the second of six children. She spent years with Oxford Home Heath caring for people with love and compassion. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Shirley was very proud to have raised her children with her husband of 44 years, J.R Watts. She lost J.R August 8, 2020 and now joins him in glory. She leaves behind her sister Elsie Mae (Tootie) Espino and Vicky (Pud) Whig, four sons Steve and Mashell Watts of Morris, George and Monique Field of Morris, Gary Don and Darlene Watts of Morris, Billy and Michelle Field of Carney, two daughters Linda and husband James Morrow of Locust Grove, and Patricia Dragovan-Foster of New Orleans. After her children are her treasured fifteen grandchildren; Jason Morrow and wife Mandy of Locust Grove, Misty Johnson and husband Justin of Locust Grove, Amy Morrow of Tulsa, Eric James “EJ” Field of Morris, Danielle Bond and husband Shannon of Oklahoma City, Kristine Pinsonneault and husband Tony of Morris, Geoffery Woodruff and wife Mallorie of Verdigris, Zachariah Field of Carney, Nicholas Dragovan of Columbus, Ohio, Taylee Dragovan of Seattle, WA, Tyler Watts and wife Jessica of Morris, Kendra Johnson and husband Blake of Morris, Nathan Watts of Morris, Jeremy Watts and wife Renee of Edmond, and Christopher Liddy of Morris. She also leaves behind thirty great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Nina June Johnson and husband Bill of Morris, brother-in-law Joe B. Watts, of Morris, numerous nieces, and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all. Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents, brothers Joseph, Ernest, and Michael Taylor, sons-in-laws Thomas Dragovan and Robert Foster, and by her infant son Patrick Field. A funeral service will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, December 11, 2020 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel officiate by Pastor Danny Harmon. Interment will follow at the Morris Cemetery. Following the interment, the Elks Lodge will be providing a dinner for family and friends. Casketbearers will be Jason Morrow, Justin Johnson, Tyler Watts, Jeremy Watts, Geoffery Woodruff, and Tony Pinsonneault. Honorary casketbearers are Nathan Watts, Nicholas Dragovan, Eric Field, and Zachariah Field.
