Shirley Colene Ward-Daniels

July 8, 1942 - May 6, 2022

Shirley C. Ward-Daniels passed away on May 6, 2022, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma at the age of 79. She was born on July 8, 1942, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to G.P. and Bonnie (Clopton) Callison. Shirley lived in Okmulgee County and attended school in Okmulgee and Liberty-Morris where she met Elmer. They married in 1961 and Elmer passed away in 1999. Following his death, she remarried Raymond Daniels. Shirley loved her family; it was important for her to take care of them and to provide a loving and comfortable home. She loved to cook. She cooked from scratch and loved to make desserts but the one thing she was known for was her homemade biscuits. Shirley and Raymond would travel around and play Merle Haggard tributes. Singing made her heart happy. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Rick Callison, first husband Clay Robey, former husband Elmer, and a son Randy Robey. Shirley is survived by her husband Raymond, daughter Lisa Thompson of Bixby, sons Steven Ward and wife Margaret of Morris, Bryan Ward and wife Christy of Boynton, Phillip Ward and wife Jackie of Haskell, grandchildren Matt King of Bixby, Steven Ward Jr. of Morris, and Sheila Ferguson-Tryon of Bixby, and four great grandchildren and one on the way. Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Graveside services will be Friday, May 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Liberty Morris Cemetery with Terry Snelling officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
