Shelby Rene Abbott

Shelby Rene Abbott was born Tuesday, November 7, 2006 in Tulsa to Eric and Kimberly (Brill) Abbott. Shelby passed away Friday morning, February 26, 2021 at home in Morris. She was 14 years old. Shelby was a student at Morris Public Schools. She enjoyed being involved in everything, including activities at her church, First Baptist Church of Morris. She was also active in the Okmulgee County Sharks. Shelby loved cooking and watching cooking shows on her iPad. She looked forward to playing games with her family each evening, having her own special name for each game. She also enjoyed crafts with her sister, Brayley. Shelby’s favorite pastime was being rocked and held. Shelby will be remembered for her smile and love for people. Shelby was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Mervin Quinnell, Ward and Helen Abbott, LaVeda Brill, and Dick and Imogene Lenox. She is survived by her parents, Eric and Kimberly, sister, Brayley, grandparents, Tim and Annette Stewart, Bob and Cheryl Abbott and Kent and Connie Brill, aunts and uncles, Jessica and Daniel McChesney, Tina and Jeff Gehring, Kari and Jonny Oglesby, Rodney and Mandy Brill, and Marshall and Misty Andrews, great aunt and uncle, Jan Lenox and Ron Davis, great grandparents, Ione Quinnell and Don Brill along with many cousins, loving family members and friends. A Service to Celebrate Shelby’s Life will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 5, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Morris with Reverend Ray Moffeit officiating. Those attending are encouraged to wear green, Shelby’s favorite color. Interment will follow at the Morris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Daniel McChesney, Jonny Oglesby, Jeff Gehring, Rodney Brill and Marshall Andrews. It is requested that face coverings be worn by those attending the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Okmulgee County Sharks, P.O. Box 173, Morris, Oklahoma 74445 or in care of Mabrey Bank of Morris. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
