Robin J. Whitaker

August 23, 1960 - March 18, 2022

Robin Jeme Whitaker passed away peacefully on March 18, 2022, in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 61. She was born to James Lee Whitaker and Mary Hellen (Clark Whitaker) Heck on August 23, 1960, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. In her younger years, she and her family lived in many places before settling down in Morris, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Morris High School. To further her education, Robin attended Bacone College where she obtained an Associate degree in nursing in 1991. Robin loved to learn and received multiple degrees but primarily worked as a RN. In Robin’s spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, she never turned down a good ole game of phase 10. And she never said no to watching a movie. Robin also enjoyed her summer activities like swimming or simply basking in the sun. But besides spending time with her family, Robin truly loved spending her time with her pets. Robin is proceeded in death by her father James Lee Whitaker and her mother Mary Helen (Clark Whitaker) Heck. She is survived by Darren Townsley of the home, her daughter Jacquelyne Vliss and husband Greg of Farmington, NM, James Clark Whitaker and wife Joy of Twin hills, OK, Kelly Denise Johnson and husband Dave of Schluter, OK, Tom Leon Heck and wife Stephanie of Kissimmee, Fl, Earl Monroe Heck and wife Erin of Okmulgee, OK and her 9 nieces and nephews, 3 great-nieces and nephews and her grandson, Oliver Vliss. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on April 1st at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
