Phillip Ray Norris

Phillip Ray Norris, long time Morris resident passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 8, 2022 with his family by his side. Phillip was born to Cleatus “Jack” and Iva Lou (Dearman) Norris on January 23, 1958, Tulsa, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Sand Springs area and graduated from Charles Page High School. He and Pam (Swayze) met at the lake with friends and family. They later married on June 20, 1980. Phillip and Pam settled in Morris where they raised their two children, Blake and Nichelle. Phillip was an active member in his church, acting as Trustee, at Bible Baptist in Sapulpa. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Phillip loved to have cookouts and spend time with his family. Phillip worked for Champion X as a crane driver until his retirement. Phillip is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Iva. He is survived by his wife Pam of 41 years, son Blake Norris and wife Christy of Oklahoma City, daughter Nichelle Norris of Morris, brother Jack Norris, father and mother-in-law Cleo and Bobby Joe Swayze, brothers in law Bobby and Danny Swayze, niece Angela Mixon, and grandchildren Brayden, Joshua, Kameron, Haley, Micah, Bentley, Cloe, and Zain. Viewing will be Friday, February 11, 2022, from 1:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. the family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M.– 7:00 P.M. at the McClendon Winters Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, February 14, 2022, at Bible Baptist Church in Sapulpa, OK, with Pastor M.W. Lawrenz and Reverend Dave Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at the Morris Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
