Pearl Ferle

September 21, 1928 - March 30, 2020

Pearl Ferle 9/21/1928 – 3/30/2020 Pearl was born to Elgin and Opal Morris in Duncan, Oklahoma on September 21st, 1928. She had 4 brothers and 6 sisters (Edward, Geneva, Frank, Ineda, Ronnie, Lilly, Elouise, Elgin, Lois, Ellen, Barbara). She and her family would sing gospel songs in various churches and other venues to spread the gospel of Christ. She gave her life to the Lord at an early age. She loved singing all her life until God took her home with Him. She met and married Al Trug in 1943 and had 6 children (Paul, Diane, Robert, Ralph, Louise and Kevin). She was widowed in 1961 and met and married Joseph Ferle in 1963 and had 2 children (Francis and Billy-Joe). Pearl lived in Duncan, OK, North Stonington, CT, San Fernando Valley/Northridge, CA, and lastly Morris/Okmulgee, OK. She had many careers throughout her lifetime as a waitress, Thatcher Glass Quality Inspector, and Prop and Costume Seamstress for Cinema Construction in affiliation with Warner Brother's Studios. She loved sewing most of all. She could sew anything without a pattern or dimensions. She just had a natural talent as a seamstress. But above all else she loved her family. All her children can attest to her tough and tender love. All her grandchildren and great grandchildren knew they were precious to her. It's been said she could teach you to play a mean hand of poker (without gambling) and sing a gospel song at the same time. Her favorite gospel song was “He's Got The Whole World In His Hands.” She was an excellent cook and story teller. She was a woman of many talents. Anyone who met her would find it hard to forget her. She spent her last days in the loving care of her daughter Louise Guess, her family, and the compassionate staff at Highland Park Manor. She is survived by Paul Trug, Louise Trug, Kevin Trug, Francis Ferle, Billy Ferle, Jason Guess, Jennifer Jackson, Jerad Guess, Richard Richardson, Audrey Guess, and many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren and friends. Due to the nationwide corona-virus lock-downs, a memorial will be held in her honor at a later date when traveling restrictions are lifted. Thank you in advance for your understanding, thoughts and prayers. Gone but not forgotten. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
