Myrtle Delois Peters passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the age of 84. She was born to the late Ethmer Ed and Ardie (Fry) Peters on Sunday, June 12, 1932 in Hulbert, Oklahoma. Myrtle had a love for animals and enjoyed crocheting and embroidery work. Myrtle was the manager for Dairy Queen in Okmulgee for 28 years and she loved her job. Most of all she loved going on Sunday afternoon drives with her mother. She is preceded by her parents, brother Eddie Lee Peters, and nephew Randall Leon Perry. Left to cherish all the wonderful memories of Myrtle are her sisters Hazel McElroy of Morris and Doris Reib of Collinsville, nephews Bruce Wall of Texas, John Peters of California, and Aaron Lee Peters of Okmulgee, niece Diana Dipboye of Claremore and sister-in-law Gloria D. Peters of Okmulgee. Friends may visit the funeral home on May 12, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Family will be present from 5-7. The family has requested to have a private family service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
