Mildred Reva Raley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mildred Reva Raley, longtime Okmulgee resident, passed away Tuesday morning, May 10, 2016 at Highland Park Manor at 94 years of age. Mildred was born on June 17, 1921 in Beggs, Oklahoma to the late Oscar and Mable (Hunt) Bates. She married Delbert Raley on May 23, 1940 and they had two children, Kenneth and Judith. Mildred and Delbert lived in California for eight years and then returned to Okmulgee. She always had a project going and loved quilting, reading, sewing and canning. Most of all she loved her family. She was a member of Cornerstone Foursquare Church of Okmulgee, where she was active with the women’s group. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, husband Delbert Raley, son Kenneth Raley, brothers Carter Bates and Lynn Bates, and sisters Lois Regulski and Doris Ray. Survivors include her daughter Judith (Raley) Smith, grandchildren Mark Raley, Jennifer (Smith) Neal, Jodie (Smith) Bracken, and Jamie (Smith) Christian, great- grandchildren Alison Raley, Anna Raley, Ashley (Neal) McGovran, Taylor Neal, Mackenzie Morris, Michael Morris, Natalie Morris, Jordan Christian, Jonah Christian, and great- great- grandchild Abigayle McGovran. A funeral service will be held 9:30 A.M. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dennis Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Okmulgee Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
