Mary Kathleen Lackey

June 20, 1969 - June 7, 2022

Mary Kathleen “Kathy” (Cramer) Lackey of Morris, Oklahoma passed away on June 7, 2022 after a lengthy illness. Kathy was born in Enid, Oklahoma on June 20, 1969 and raised by loving parents Gene and Verna Cramer of Garber, Oklahoma. Kathy started elementary school in Garber. When her father’s employer transferred him to a position in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Kathy and her parents moved to Muldrow, Oklahoma where Kathy graduated from high school. After graduating high school, Kathy attended Technical school. She became a licensed practical nurse in 2001. She subsequently worked as office nurse for a local doctor’s office, with Oklahoma Department of Corrections, and in Okmulgee Memorial Hospital’s Care Unit. Her hobbies included riding horses on trail rides and as part of Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Mounted Patrol. She also volunteered with the Okmulgee Emergency Management Office as the ham radio operator and storm spotter. Her family will remember the fish fries she regularly hosted, her love of painting and coloring, her loyalty to Oklahoma State University and her pride in her grandchildren. Kathy’s daughter Rachel and parents Gene and Verna (Potter) Cramer predecease her. She is survived by her husband of 24 years Bret, daughter Brittany (James) Eaton, sons Jesse Blackwell and Jacob Blackwell, grandchildren Mason Blair, Evelyn and Kinsley Eaton, sister Teresa Herbert and brother Pete Cramer. Visitation will be held at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 2:00pm-6:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at First Christian Church of Morris in Morris, Oklahoma on Friday, June 10, 2022 starting at 10:00am followed by graveside service at Hitchita-Lackey Cemetery, Hitchita, Oklahoma. Casketbearers will be James Eaton, Jessie Blackwell, Jacob Blackwell, Levi Lackey, Todd Lackey and Wade Lackey. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
