Margaret Moffeit

Margaret Moffeit was born on Tuesday, May 23, 1933 in Brinkman, Oklahoma to the late William and Ethel (Grubbs) Weaver. As a young woman she married George A. Moffeit and they made their home in California. They returned to Oklahoma in 1957, moving to Lawton. In 1967, Margaret and George relocated to Oklahoma City where they lived for five years before making Mangum their home. Margaret was member of the First Baptist Church of Mangum. She loved to sing and dance and was known for participating in many community activities and holiday events. Margaret passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in Oklahoma City at eighty eight years of age. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and five siblings, Claude, Wilburn, Alfred, Juanita and Pauline. Survivors include her children, Ray Moffeit and wife Mary of Okmulgee and Georgia Crawley and husband Terry of Oklahoma City, grandchildren, Jason Crawley and wife Cara, Sommer Moffeit Scott and husband David and Chris Moffeit and wife Jenny, great grandchildren, Parker Crawley, Blythe Crawley, Kloe Moffeit, Gracie Moffeit, Cody Shipman and Caitlan Scott, a sister, Oleta Hooks and several nieces and nephews. A committal service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Cave Creek Cemetery in Vinson, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
