Ollie Mae (Price) Arterbury, 86 of Okmulgee, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma following a brief illness on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving husband, children, and daughter in law. She was born in Fox, Oklahoma on May 22, 1931, to the late Richard and Ula (Ree) Price. Mae grew up in Duncan, Oklahoma and graduated from Duncan High School in 1949. She went on to attend Park College in Kansas. On December 26, 1951, Mae married Alvin Arterbury, her high school sweetheart. They had 66 wonderful years together. Mae worked at the County Courthouse as a secretary to the County Commissioners for 20 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for 62 years. She was a Sunday school teacher for children and later started the adults Sunday school class. Mae was a member of PEO, Sesame and two bridge clubs. She was a Christian lady who loved people. Her smile and laughter were contagious. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and she always had a story to share about one of them. Mae was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her loving husband Alvin, as well as her sons Brandon and spouse Becky, Keland and spouse Alice, daughter Tana Macha and spouse Billy. In addition, she is survived by her seven grandchildren and five great great grandchildren, and a sister Elizabeth Price. Funeral services for Mae will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Jeff Francis officiating. Interment will follow at the Okmulgee Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday, April 23, 2017. Casketbearers will be Billy Macha, Aaron Arterbury, Mike Brannon, Dan Sulivant, Blake Macha, Trent Arterbury, Keith Arterbury, and Brandon Arterbury. Memorial donations can be made to Clarehouse, 7617 S. Mingo Rd. Tulsa OK 74133, or the First Presbyterian Church, 401 S. Seminole, Okmulgee Oklahoma, 74447. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
