Lillian Webster Bogie, 96, a longtime resident of Eram, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Lillian was born near Wainwright, Oklahoma on April 7, 1920, to Adam and Myrtle (Dodd) Webster. She graduated from Boynton High School in 1939. Lillian remained very close to her classmates throughout the years after graduation. She attended many high school class reunions keeping in touch with classmates over the years. Lillian was a devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to all she met. On October 5, 1941, she married Arthur Bogie of Eram and had two children. Ruth Landgraf (Fred) and Arthur Bogie II (Kathy). They were married 53 years. Lillian adored her family, her children as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. She will be remembered by her grandchildren: Lisa Cline (Thomas), Eric Deem, Stephen Rowe (Beth), Anita Allen and Arthur Bogie III (Candace). She adored her great grandchildren: Adam Deem (Shelby), Hannah Deem. Allen Cline, Kristin Hargrove (Nate), Michel Allen, Noah Allen, Lura Bogie and Jace Allen. Her great, great, grandson Cooper Deem and she was looking forward to her next great, great, grandchild to be born this fall. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, bible studies, canning, traveling and arranging flowers. She was involved in many organizations among them were Dorcas Society, Lutheran Woman’s Missionary League, and Home Demonstration Club. She was the oldest member of Trinity Lutheran Church. A Service of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 13, at 10:00 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1314 East Sixth Street, Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Pastor Christian C. Tiews of Trinity Lutheran Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 12, 2016, 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home, 303 East 7th Street, Okmulgee, Ok. Burial will follow the funeral at Okmulgee Cemetery following the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Lillian Bogie’s name to “Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund”.
