Kathy L Stricker Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kathy La Dawn Stricker, longtime Morris resident, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022 in Tulsa at sixty two years of age. She was born in Tulsa on Monday, May 23, 1960 to Vella Jean (Fisher) Slape and Adrian Slape. Kathy attended East Central High School and moved to Okmulgee her senior year, graduating from Okmulgee High School in 1978. She worked for Morris Public Schools for 15 years, retiring in 2011. She served on the Morris City Council from 2012-2017. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Adrian Slape on April 3, 2000, mother, Vella Jean Slape on September 9, 2010, mother-in-law, June Stricker on January 20, 2014 and father-in-law, Gene Stricker on July 31, 2016. Survivors include her husband, Kent Stricker, a daughter, Danielle Honel and husband Kyle of Morris, a son, Rhett Stricker and wife Cassandra of Broken Arrow, a brother, Doug Slape and wife Gina of Bartlett, Tennessee, and her precious grandbabies, Brayden Stricker, Khloe Honel, Taylor Honel, Savannah Stricker and Sienna Stricker. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Vicki Willis and husband Wayne of Okmulgee and Rhonda Thorp of Checotah, nieces, Michele Drain and husband Terry of Texas, Stacy Been and husband Justin of Henryetta, Jennifer Shipman and husband Doy of Morris, Charlotte Lay and husband Kevin of Oakland, Tennessee and a nephew Mike Armstrong of Checotah, Oklahoma. A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 3:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Mathews officiating. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
