Jana Ross

September 27, 1962 - July 1, 2019

On Monday July 1, 2019 Jana Lynn Ross, wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at the age of 56 years. Jana is survived by her husband Pete Ross of Beggs, son Robert Ross and wife Hope of Beggs, daughter Leslie Williams and husband Ben of Frankfort, Ky and daughter Mackenzie Thurmond and husband Gary of Broken Arrow, her mother Janice Rouk of Tulsa, brother Jay Rouk and wife Kaitlin of Beggs, and sister Susan Melia of Broken Arrow. Also seven grandchildren: Grey, Silas, Maggie, Boone, Bella, Noah, and Marshall. Three nieces and two nephews. Jana is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Rouk. Jana was born on September 27, 1962 in Muskogee, OK. She graduated from Beggs High School in 1980. She then studied nursing at Oral Roberts University before transferring to Bacone College and graduating in 1984 as a registered nurse. She married her husband Pete on December 3, 1981. Jana was a talented seamstress, who enjoyed playing the piano and spending time with her family, especially the grandkids. She was the pianist at First Baptist Beggs for many years. The family will be hosting a "Come and Go Memorial Fellowship" at the First Baptist Church of Beggs on July 4, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
