James Gordon Dixon Jr.

June 8, 1964 - December 2, 2020

James Gordon Dixon, Jr., lifelong Morris resident, passed away at his home on Wednesday morning, December 2, 2020. He was 56 years of age. Gordon was born June 8, 1964 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to James Gordon Dixon, Sr. and Glenda (Walters) Dixon. He graduated from Morris High School in 1982 and on July 23, 1982 he married Cathy Endres at Liberty Baptist Church. Gordon loved people and never met a stranger. He enjoyed being on the farm and raising cattle. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family. Gordon is survived by his wife, Cathy Dixon, parents, James and Glenda Dixon, sons, Brad Dixon and wife Megan and Jonathan Dixon, siblings, Clint Dixon and wife Carolyn, Carmen Tidwell and husband Mike and Floyd Dixon and wife Cheri and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the Liberty Cemetery with Reverend Steve Treagesser officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Gordon’s name to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.
