Jack Creason Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jack B. Creason, longtime Tulsa resident, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at his home. He was 74 years of age. Jack was born July 20, 1948 in Perry Grove, Arkansas. At eight years of age, he was adopted by his loving parents, Elza and Hazel (McClellan) Creason. He graduated from Beggs High School, where he proudly memorized “The Raven”. He entered the United States Army on January 29, 1967, serving in the Infantry in Vietnam. He was honorable discharged on January 9, 1970. Jack began his career as a steelworker at HTE in October 1977, retiring in March 2012. There he was known as “Cowboy Jack”. Jack was a very devoted son and was dedicated to taking care of his mother. He passed these values on to his family. Jack lived his life like every country western song-he obeyed his papa, loved his momma, always wore cowboys boots and a hat, smoked Marlboros, drank Crown Royal and Budweiser, drove a pickup truck and always had a dog. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elza and Hazel (McClellan) Creason. Survivors include a son, Joseph “Joe” Creason and wife Dawn, two grandchildren, Joshua and Zoe Creason and his longtime boss and friend, David Woods. A private family graveside will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
