Ferd Rucquoy

January 3, 1935 - September 9, 2021

Andrew “Ferd” Rucquoy was born January 3, 1935, in Sistersville, West Virginia to Andre and Helen (Coolidge) Rucquoy. Fred passed away at his home in Okmulgee, OK on September 9, 2021. He moved to the Okmulgee area in his late teens and has been a longtime resident. Ferd married Dolores “Doe” (Henson) in January of 1955 in Okmulgee, OK. Together they raised four children. Ferd worked for 25 years at American Glass before they closed the plant. He then went to work for Ford Glass as a glass cutter for the next 30 years until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf. Ferd was a member at First Assembly of God Church. Ferd is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Denise Rucquoy Thomas, son Mark Rucquoy, brother Jack Rucquoy, and sister Lea Jane Rucquoy. He is survived by his loving wife, Dolores, of 66 years, sons David Rucquoy, Stephen Rucquoy and wife Sandy, granddaughter Stephanie Wolf and husband DoLee, grandsons Cameron Rucquoy, and Drew Thomas and wife Candy, great-grandchildren Allie and Levi Thomas, and Ford Wolf, special couple Jim and Diana Leemaster. Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the Beggs Cemetery with Reverend Raymond Doke officiating. Pallbearers will be Drew Thomas, Cameron Rucquoy, DoLee Wolf, and Jim Leemaster. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
