Felies Andrew Burns Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Felies Andrew Burns, passed away on June 23, 2022, after his battle with cancer. Born September 26, 1951, in Clovis, New Mexico to William and Mary (Culwell) Burns, Felies was one of 13 siblings. Felies married his wife Donna (Armstrong) Wheat on April 5, 1971, in Perryton, Texas. Donna Sue Burns, passed away on April 17, 2015, after her battle with liver disease. Born February 18, 1951, in Victoria, Texas to James and Ruthie (Martin) Armstrong. Donna was one of 5 siblings. Having come from a big family, Felies and Donna were family oriented. They both loved spending time with their family. Their grandkids especially. In Felies’ spare time, he loved to fish. Donna had a love of shopping. They both loved racing which also included watching their sons and grandkids race. Felies also got to enjoy watching Donna race as well. Following any event Felies loved to have a cold one and on occasion a hot one. Felies was a man of many talents. He was a mechanic for most of his life, but he also worked with TNT Hydraulics in Liberal, Kansas. However he also spent many summers harvesting crops with Spears Deers harvesting crew as well as a welder on oilfield rigs for many years. With this job, it caused Felies and Donna to move their family around between Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico over the years. Donna was a homemaker while their children were growing up however, she did hold a few jobs here and there which included working in the billing department at National Beef Packing in Liberal, Kansas, convenience stores, waitress and cook for local restaurants. Once their children were old enough, Felies and Donna also spent some time driving a semi-truck which took them to see many different parts of the country. Felies is preceded in death by his parents, spouse, Donna, 10 of his siblings, and his granddaughter, Brittini Burns. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, spouse, Felies, 3 of her siblings and her granddaughter, Brittini Burns. Felies and Donna are survived by their sons, Gary Wheat and Ruddy of OKC, OK, Aaron Burns and Heather of Yukon, OK, Tracy Burns and Ami of Dayton, TX, thier daughter, Kelly Gustason and Chris of Morris, OK, 11 Grandchildren; Brigan and Rylie Wheat, Bradin Wheat, Brent and Danielle Burns, Kaelin and Angelica Burns, Tristen and Sierra Burns, Blake Burns, Chishom Burns, Koleton and Amanda Arnett, Bryson and Samantha Arnett, Brooklynn and Thomas Drinnon, Taryn and Takara Brown, 15 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends. Felies is survived by his siblings, Gayle Sandell of Garden City Kansas, and Bobbie Harpold of Nebraska, Donna is survived by a sister, Brenda McGee, Caddo Mills, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends. A memorial service for Felies and Donna will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee, OK. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
