Douglas Charles Juneau was born Friday, November 23, 1962 in McAlister, Oklahoma to Royce and Chiquita (Berryhill) Juneau. He passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 in Tulsa at 57 years of age. Doug and his family moved to Dallas and returned to Okmulgee in 1976, where the family remained. Douglas attended Okmulgee Public School and graduated with the class of 1981. In his younger years, Doug played several sports. In the 1980’s Douglas married Debi Johnson and to their union they had a daughter Meske (Juneau) Harding. Later in life he had two children with Sunnie Jo Barnett, Shealyn Danielle Barnett and Carson Lee Juneau. Doug worked for Muscogee Creek Nation Housing for many years as a maintenance person. His last job was a land surveyor with David Washington, who has been a true and dear friend. Douglas liked making people laugh, he referred to himself as the “American Indiain Gigolo” he had a great sense of humor which everyone enjoyed. He never met a stranger and made those around him smile. Doug enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with Buddy Lee and playing dominos. He remained an avid OU and Cowboys fan and was a member of Newtown United Methodist Church. His smile and laughter will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Royce and Karen Juneau, mother and step-father, Chiquita and Joe McNac, a son, Carson Lee Juneau, brother, Dennis Juneau, nephew, Ronald Parker and niece Melanie Parker. Survivors include his daughters, Meske Harding and husband Kip of Morris and Shealyn Cash and husband Marcus of Tulsa, grandchildren, Brendan and Gunner Harding and Carter Cash, sisters, Lisa Richardson and husband Steve, Janet Juneau all of Okmulgee, and Rhonda Juneau of Coweta, Stacey and Tracey Juneau of Cushing, Jackie Roland and husband Robert of Sapulpa, Tina Kemp and husband Antwon of Sapulpa, and Jennie McNac of Okmulgee, five nieces, three nephews, four great nieces, three great nephews, one great great nephew who he called “Buddy Lee” Caelix Morgan, and two good friends David Washington and Ronald Houston. A wake service will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the Jubilee Christian Center. A funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Jubilee Christian Center with Reverends Wotko Long and Dale Litsey officiating. Interment will follow at the Tallahassee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Washington, Ronald Houston, Dwayne Hill, Kenny Leybas, Chris Morgan, Nathan Toney, Wayne Simmons, Tim Antwine, and Jeremy Juneau. Honorary pallbearers will be Kip Harding, Marcus Cash, Carter Cash, Brendan Harding, Gunner Harding, Steve Richardson, Caelix “Buddy Lee” Morgan, Isaiah Toney, Randall Toney, Eddie Haworth, and Gabriel Leybas.
