Dorothy Lorene Cox Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dorothy Lorene (Kailey) Cox was born in Morris Oklahoma on September 16, 1928 to Washington Franklin Kailey and Carrie (Bacon) Kailey. She made her final journey to be with her Lord on April 21st, 2009. She was a devout Christian and extraordinary woman, who was known for her kind and loving demeanor. She loved her family and enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Joe and William (Bill) Kailey, two sisters Helen Kailey and Carolee Vaughn, ex-husband of 18 years Rufus V. Cox Sr., faithful companion for fourteen years, J.C. Stidham, and two great-grandchildren Shane Branson and Savanna Branson-Froehlich. Survivors include two children, Rufus (Buddy) V. Cox Jr. and Carolyn Lee (Cox) Torix. and husband Harvey J. Torix Jr.; eight grandchildren: Shelly Laden,, Kathy McCormack and husband Bill, Gene Allen Branson and wife Jessica, Johnnie Lorene Branson, and Aaron Torix. David, Daniel and Alana Carol Cox all of Oklahoma City. She has 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild Visitation will be at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home on Thursday, April 23rd from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 24th at 2:00 p.m Burial will follow at the Morris Cemetery.
