Darrel F. McCall

November 17, 1934 - August 20, 2019

Darrel Franklin McCall was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on November 17, 1934 to Alta Munson and Edgar McCall. Alta passed when Darrel was a boy of 10ish or so, and Ed passed well into Darrel's adulthood. There were also many other family members that have preceded Darrel in death. As of the last five years Darrel lived in Beggs with his wife Mary, and devoted his time to taking care of her since she has Alzheimer's. Darrel and Mary were married on December 22, 1975. Prior to that Darrel and Mary were gate keepers at the Ft. Gibson lake. Darrel was an avid fisherman, who always wanted to catch the biggest or the most! Darrel was also known in the Tulsa Racing Community as the best chasee man around. Darrel and Mary owned interest in a Super Modified racecar, that won many races just due to the way Darrel set up the car. Darrel is mostly known for paving many many streets in Tulsa and surrounding areas since the 1950's. For example, the 71st and memorial intersection and the skinny Lewis street. Darrel has several children, grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, plus step and/or half brothers and sisters. Children Becky McGahan of Beggs, Joe McGahan of Broken Arrow. Debbie Shriner, Cathy Gibson, Eddie and Ellen McCall of Tulsa. Grandchildren Robin Boak, Jason Carter, Mary Johnson, Matt McGahan and AJ Gibson.
