Billie L. Coakley

July 26, 1940 - November 3, 2021

It might have been a rainy day, but the heavens rejoiced, and the stars shined brighter with the passing of Billie Louise Coakley on November 3, 2021. Billie was born July 26th, 1940, to W.H. (Bill) and Elsie Brown in Hoffman, Oklahoma. She is survived by son William and wife Maria, brother Gerald and wife Dorothy. 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous cousins and other relatives and countless friends. After serving in the military, she was a constant figure at OSU Institution of Technology in Okmulgee for over 30 years as a Student Vocation Rehabilitation Counselor while attaining her Master’s and Doctorate Degrees. Services for Billie will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 12, 2021 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Okmulgee with Reverend Richard Manning officiating. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
