Virginia Marie Creason

Virginia Marie Creason was born in Okmulgee, OK to Willie Adonia and Harmon Zale Wilson on September 13, 1940. She was the baby of 5 children, and she made sure she was spoiled by all. Virginia left this world on May 26, 2021, in Weleetka, OK where she was surrounded by loved ones. Virginia attended school in California and Beggs, OK. She graduated from Beggs, OK in 1958. In true selfless Virginia fashion, she turned down a nursing scholarship to go to work and support her momma. She met her soulmate, Ricky Dennis Creason and they were married on August 27, 1961 in Heavner, OK. They made their home in Okmulgee where they grew their family by 3 children. Rick and Virginia would have been married 60 years in August. Virginia worked at Montgomery Ward, Newberry’s, 1st National Bank and made a 30 plus year career at the Dept. of Human Services. Virginia was the only supervisor in the State of Oklahoma that did not have a college degree and she was awarded this because of her hard work and dedication. She met many people and made many friends there. She was preceeded in death by her parents Willie Adonia and Harmon Zale Wilson, Charlie McBroom and wife Mary, Myrtle Jones and Charles, Katherine Adams, Garrett Gasaway , and Louise Roberson. She was met in Heaven by her in-laws Troy and Stella Creason and a very special sister-in-law Rosalie Creason. Virginia was most excited to go to Heaven so she could finally cuddle baby boy, Troy Dennis Creason. Virginia is outlived by her husband Rick Creason, her children and their spouses Ted and Nina Creason and Kim and Jerry Williamson. Her beloved grandchildren are Paige and Sidney Gaston, Matt Creason, Kimber and Ethan Sanderson, Kylie Williamson, Katelyn Williamson, and Autumn and Caleb Wittman. She also had bonus grandchildren, Chad and Andrea Polson, Ashley and Kenny Robertson and Alex Proctor. Virginia had great grandchildren, Kamryn Williamson, Karsyn Groomer, Beau Gaston, Lincoln Wittman, Grady Wittman and Jayce Sanderson. Because she was such a good mama, God awarded her with several bonus great grandchildren. She was blessed with several special nieces and nephews Teresa Adams, Jim and Ann Bingman and Jim Jones. Several special friends Cheryl and Jimmy Hurst and Jon and Tracy Keim. Her pride and joy were her beloved Boston Terrier puppies Cena, and Ambrose. Friends may visit the funeral home on Monday, May 31, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. In honor of her life, a celebration will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 10:00am at The Refuge Church in Okmulgee. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
