Tracey Lynn Lowe

Tracey Lynn Lowe, 52 departed this life on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Tracey was baptized at an early age and was a lifetime member of the Wewoka Indian United Methodist Church. Tracey was the church song leader for many years. She was a graduate from Mounds High School. Later she began working for Muscogee Creek Nation Election Board in 1983. Tracey worked there for 32 years before having to resign due to illness. Tracey enjoyed going to church, being around family and friends and watching OU football. She would often talk about days growing up at Pickett Chapel. There was always laughter when reminiscing about the good o'days. Sometimes in life you find special friends. Someone who changes your life just by being a part of it. Someone who make you laugh until you can't stop. Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world. Someone who convinces you that there really is an unlock door just waiting for you to open it. This is a forever friend. When your down and the world seems dark and empty, your forever friend lifts you up in spirit and make that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full. Your forever friend gets you through the hard times, the sad times and the confused times. If you turn and walk away your forever friend guides you and cheers you on. Your forever friend holds your hand and tells you that everything is going to be okay. And if you find such a friend, you feel happy and complete because you need not worry. You have a forever friend and forever no end. Thank you Salena Watashe, Michael Anthamatten, Nettie Harjo, Clayton Campbell and Betsy Varner for being Tracey's forever friend. Tracey battled cancer for two years. She took everything cancer could throw at her but she kept going. She endured pain but never complained. She found energy in the face of draining treatments. She remained positive in the bleakest situations. Cancer left us devastated and heart-broken. But cancer did not beat Tracey. It never stood a chance. She did not lose to cancer but she won her victory in heaven. She is forever in the presence of God and happy, healed, and restored. How beautiful heaven must be. Tracey is survived by her parents Reverend Joseph and Louise Lowe and her two loving sisters Anita Lowe and Anna Lindsey and her cat Stormy who was by her side every day and night. She is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. A funeral service for Tracey will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Wewoka Indian United Methodist Church with Reverend David Long officiating. Interment will follow across the street at the Wewoka Indian Methodist Cemetery. A night service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee. A wake service will held Friday night at 7:00 P.M. at the Wewoka Indian United Methodist Church. Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
