Donna Faye Woods

Donna Faye Woods, lifelong Liberty Morris area resident, passed away Tuesday evening, January 25, 2022 in Muskogee at 83 years of age. She was born August 3, 1938, in Morris, OK to the late Paul Eugene and Effie Mae (Robinson) Porter. She attended Liberty-Morris School. Donna married George Woods on June 22, 1956 in Morris, Oklahoma. She enjoyed ceramics, canning, gardening, quilting, reading, baking wedding cakes, and sewing clothing. She loved animals, especially bottle babies. Donna previously owned a ceramic shop in Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Randy Woods, a brother, Ronnie Porter, a sister, Paulette Cossey, brothers-in-law, Don Woods, Henry Woods, Jr., Ed Grice and Kenneth Hodge and sisters-in-law Wanda Mae Woods, Kathy Porter, and Topsey Woods. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, George Woods, daughters, Sharon Deerinwater and husband Charles of Morris and Caryl Cheatwood and husband Mark of Sallisaw, a son, Scott Woods and wife Lisa of Morris, grandchildren, Teresa Payne and children Maddisyn and Abel, Kelly Goldman and husband Ryan and family, Sandra Hicks and family, Lori Deerinwater and family, Drew Branson and wife Kaitlin, Caron Reynolds and husband Kevin and children Hannah ,Blaine, Jace, Ariaina and Kaleigh, Eddie Cheatwood, Elizabeth Cheatwood and Jeremiah Cheatwood, Drew and Kaitlin Branson, brothers, Arthur Porter and wife Marge, Tommy Porter and wife Jaree, and David Porter and wife Janice, sisters, Vicky Hensley and husband DeWayne and Venecia Hodge, a brother-in-law, Bob Cossey and sisters-in-law, Mary Grice, Linda England and husband Mike. She is also survived by twenty-three great grandchildren, thirteen great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and close family friend Scottie Snider. Friends may visit he funeral home on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Liberty Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Ward officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery.
